The Great Warrior Chief Odunmegwu Ojukwu The Ikemba of Nnewi Laid To Rest

On Friday 2nd day of March, 2012 the great warrior Ikemba of Nnewi was committed to mother earth after a solemn church service at The Saint Michaels Catholic Church in Umudim, Nnewi in Anambra state, South-east Nigeria. The  Church was on Friday filled to capacity as eminent Nigerians gathered for the church service/requiem mass for the late Biafra warlord and Igbo leader, Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu.

Awo Lecture: Why North is a problem to national unity – Eminent Nigerians

On March 9th 2012,  the eminent Nigerians Lamented the non-sustenance of the leadership qualities of late Premier of the defunct Western Region, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, saying that the north would not have constituted itself as the clog in the wheel of development and unity of the country had Awolowo’s policies been sustained.

They spoke in Lagos at  the 2012 Obafemi Awolowo Annual Lecture, convened by Obafemi Awolowo Foundation, OAF.

 Chief Oluẹgun Mathew Okikiọla Arẹmu Ọbasanjọ, GCFR , born on the 5th of March 1937 is a former Nigerian Army General and former President of Nigeria. A Nigerian of Yoruba descent, Ọbasanjọ was a career soldier before serving twice as Nigeria’s head of state, once as a military ruler, between 13 February 1976 to 1 October 1979 and again from 29 May 1999 to 29 May 2007, as elected President.
